You're moving house and you've already been through a stressful period. After all, selling a property does not always come easily. You sit in suspense for a long period and you have to deal with a lot of doubts. For instance, you don't know if the price is right. And you might still be in limbo for a long period of time after an offer is made. In addition, there are then all sorts of different administrative matters you have to deal with. In short: all a lot of stress.
But fortunately, things usually work out in the end. But after selling your house, you will also have to deal with all kinds of red tape. Fortunately, common problems are easy to solve. At least, if you spot them in time.
Problem 1: No help with moving
Many of your friends and relatives would no doubt like to help you move, but often this is not possible. Maybe they live too far away, for instance, or maybe you didn't notify them in time. The moving date then gets closer and closer, and then it might turn out that you don't have any help at all at the moment suprême.
This, of course, causes you stress, which is annoying. Fortunately, it is almost always possible to find a good removal company near you. Of course, there are costs involved, but they also take a lot of work off your hands.
Problem 2: mail at the wrong address
You should always report the move to the municipality on time. If you don't do this, you may even face high fines and you don't want that. Moreover, it is also relevant for benefits and other matters.
The municipality notifies many agencies, organisations and companies of your move, but by no means all. So it also regularly happens that mail is still sent to the old address. This is not necessarily a problem, but it is if you only receive important mail physically and your old house is temporarily empty or you have no contact with the new residents.
So take a few hours to pass on your move to everyone, as this will prevent a lot of hassle in the end.
Problem 3: Internet problems
You also don't want to have to deal with internet problems after you've moved. Do you still have a contract with an internet provider? If so, you can often use the removal service and then, fortunately, you won't be without internet for a period of time.
But if you no longer have a subscription, then you will have to get a new one and this usually takes a while. Whatever the situation: avoid internet problems and always contact your, current or new, provider in good time.
