At vb&t Estate Agents we process various personal data. Through this privacy and cookie statement we inform you about what we do with your personal data.

Our privacy and cookie statement in brief. When processing data, we adhere to privacy laws.

This means, among other things, that we:

For what purposes do we use your personal data?

When you use our website and services, we obtain different types of personal data. For each purpose, we indicate which data we obtain from you, its basis and its retention period.

Contacting

When you send an e-mail or chat message, call us or contact us in another way, you are accepting our offer to engage with us (performance of the agreement). For this purpose, we process the following personal data:

  • First and Last name

  • E-mail address

  • Eventual information you enter yourself as the content of a message

  • Telephone number

  • Postal code

We will keep your information for as long as necessary for this contact or for up to 2 years after we last had contact with you. We do this to better serve you if you contact us again.

Newsletter

Through our website you can sign up for our digital newsletter, which we mail at most once a month. In this newsletter, you will read housing offers, news and articles. We will only send you a newsletter with your permission. We will keep your e-mail address for sending the newsletter until you unsubscribe. You can unsubscribe at any time by clicking the link at the bottom of the newsletter.

Applicate

Have you responded to one of our vacancies or submitted an unsolicited application? If so, we process personal data about you in order to process your application, and in preparation for the possible conclusion of an employment contract. For this purpose, we process the following data:

  • Name

  • Address details

  • Contact details

  • Curriculum Vitae

  • Motivation letter.

We will keep your application details for up to 8 weeks after the position has been filled. We keep this data so that we can contact you in case the position becomes vacant again within the probationary period. If we cannot offer you a position at this time, we may - with your consent - keep the application data for an additional year. You can withdraw your consent at any time by sending us an e-mail. If you join us, we will keep your application data in your personnel file. This file is kept for as long as this is necessary and, in respect of application data, for up to 2 years after leaving employment.

When may we share your personal data with third parties?

vb&t Estate Agents will only share your personal data with third parties where this is permitted under current legislation. We may provide your personal data to third parties because:

  • we have engaged them to process certain personal data.

  • that is necessary to perform the agreement with you.

  • you consent to this.

  • we have a legitimate interest in doing so.

  • we are required to do so by law (for example, if the police demand it in the case of suspected crime).

Social media

Our website includes social media buttons from Instagram, Facebook, Youtube and LinkedIn.

You have the following rights:

  • Right of inspection: you have the right to see the personal data we process about you.

  • Right of rectification: you have the right to correct or supplement the personal data we process about you if it is inaccurate or incomplete.

  • Right to object: you can object to the processing of your personal data and to direct marketing.

  • Right of deletion: you can request us to delete your personal data.

  • Right to withdraw your consent: if you have given us consent to process personal data, you can withdraw this consent at any time.

  • Right to data portability: if it is technically possible, you have the right to have the personal data we process about you transferred to a third party.

With your request, we may ask you to identify yourself. For this purpose, we request data to ensure that you are the correct person to whom the personal data belongs.
